He created earth for himself......As a paradise that He can enjoy with His children (humanity)

problem is that God's arch enemy tempted the first of His children and sin and death entered into the blood of the human race, corrupting us with a sinful, rebellious nature that is lived in the flesh.

Lord God has not given up on us, as He still desires to have a relationship with us. Here is how to do it.

GOD, being All-That-Exists, created all that we see so we can continue to expand awareness. Some say that Earth in particular exists to explore the Question:

"What is the nature of Love where Love seems not to exist?"

Hence the Design of This GAME, Earth, the Matrix within which we agreed to "exist" in order to explore. As God expands via the manifestation of more Children (apparent divisions of Itself), the facets to explore the Question are multiplying.

While it's also believed that many other levels of awareness exist, some suggest that once We have answered the Question on this plane or dimension, that we will vibrate into new awarenesses --

but the Big Question is: will Brangelina/Bennifer/etc., be there?

Hmmm...
:)

This is my belief:

God created the earth and life as we know it so that God can experience God's self.

God is absolute. In this state there are no contradictions and no relativity. Everything is constant, absolute.

This is a world of relativity. How would you know hot, if you never experienced cold? How would you know you're tall, if you never saw someone shorter than you? How would you know love if you never experienced hate or fear?

God knows what God is, but the knowing of a thing and the experiencing of it are two entirely different things. For example you know what ice cream is, but experiencing the taste of it is different (and SO much better) than just intellectually knowing that it is frozen cream and sugar.

God created the earth and life as we know it so that God could experience God's self in this world of relativity through us, who are each an individuation of the whole.

God does not judge us for our actions...after this physical incarnation ends we will return to the spiritual dimension and decide if we want to stay or experience another physical incarnation. This is how we serve God.

Its easy to think that what is.. is somehow a freak coincidance and must have some logical explaination. You ask the question, "WHY did god create the earth. But the answer is not knowable, there is certainly no basis for speculation, and if the answer were important, there would be the means to achieve it.
It the same as asking a parent, "Why do you love your children?" or asking a Dog "why do keep licking yourself?"

If answers to these questions were necessary, they would somehow be revealed to us (I think scientists are still studying the Dog question)

Exodus 9:29
...that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.

He made it for himself, the earth is his.

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11

Exodus 19:5 - Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Isaiah 66:1 - Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

He made the earth for us to live in, not for him. But the earth is his, we are merely using it.

Psalms 115:16 - The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

You should get many answers from many different people...depending upon their own belief system...to some people GOD is science ... to others HE is the grand creator ... and to others he does not exist...In my humble opinion I don't know why God created the earth or anything else for that matter ... but I do believe that we are better off learning to respect one and love one another as opposed to any other option

You question can't be intelligently answered because no one can tell why someone did this or that. Only that person can answer why. Since that person is only in the imagination, you'll never get anything but a guess from some one who will claim it's all in the book, the bible or the koran, or the Avesta, the torah, or there's no end of "holy" books that were passed down from the most superstitious period the world has ever known

God had too many thoughts running through his mind, so he created the earth as storage to dump all of his ideas onto. Then he/she got bored with Adam and Eve because straight sex got boring, then he created lesbians and gays so that they can have hot sex without procreation, and the rest of the world would hate us for that.

God did not create the earth.

Gravity and stellar material created the earth.

Everyone needs a hobby. The Creator of the Universe would
probably consider making planets to be a diversion. Earth would
just be one of many, like a grain of sand on the beach.
