That's a big mistake don't try to impress try to be yourself. She probably loves you for the way you are don't try to be a different person.

I think a guy should not try to impress a lady on the first date just be yourself because all that glitters is not gold and you want someone to like you for yourself not some superficial self image that you think she may like.

First make sure u smell and look good - breath and everything
Then make it there on time. forget this - like preparing for a job interview. Compliment and smile then compliment again. Be a gentleman well at least at the beginning. Interesting conversations while riding. I just wing it from there so its all on u from there - remember "be yourself" because that's why she goes on the date in the first place.

That really is pretty much it. If we agreed to go out with you, we're not expecting much. Hold the door open for us, offer to pay, (though most of us won't let you anyways) and do something spontaneous that we wouldn't expect. However, do not try to stick your tongue down our throats. If we want a goodnight kiss, we'll show you some obvious signs.

hmm be nice, but not too nice. compliment her hair/makeup. we try hard to look good for you too, but then again dont overdo it. you might seem obsessive and scary. of course pay on the first date. after that it's alright to take turns. oh and smell good, but you don't have to pour the whole bottle on you. it makes my stomach turn. good luck. dont try too hard. if she doesnt like you for you thats her loss. there is only so much you can do. and some girls dont like flowers or chocolate. [me]

Well....a great smile and good, intelligent conversation is a must with me. Also like someone who is a gentleman and opens doors for me,etc, and makes me feel like I am a lady.
