All right, which is more important and for which age range? Sex and the simple relationship? Or the whole soul mate ordeal with trysts and complications but with an undefinable connection?

is that even a question? the latter of course.

the only thing is few boys can handle it, and even fewer women can offer it.

Neither. Sex and the simple relationship is going to crash into a power trip when one partner or the other develops an AGENDA --which is certain to happen.

Because we live in a society where GETTING ALONG is more important than BEING HONEST, the soul mate trip is going to hit an ice berg sooner or later. The soul-mates-in-progress will wreck the "undefinable connection" trying to define it and reduce it words and discuss it to death.

The best is an undefined partnership in which both partners see the world more clearly and more beautifully because they are together, even though there aren't any words... such as...

the third movement of Rimsky-Korsakov's "Sheherezade" (especially the Ormandy/Philadelphia Orchestra version)

or, very quickly, an instrumental version of Hoagy Carmichael's "The Nearness of You" (such as Gary Clark's 1998 piano version).

Without that silent appreciation of the world of the two lovers in the garden, it's gonna blow up sooner or later.

Well some people want to just have sex and a simple relationship. But these days people want a soul mate that may get them divorced later that month and or year(s).

Sex for the very young, and soulmate for the very mature, cause when you are young you just wanna have fun but when you get a bit older you will be ready to settle down and think about kids and that kinda thing
