The only cause i can think of is that i slept bad with high pillows or something. But the neck pain is in the front of the neck, a bit to the sideof the adams appple. Help?

It can not cause muscle tear but muscle strain which is temporary but you have to suffer for couple of days. You can take pain reliever/muscle relaxan like Ibuprofen, naproxen or any NSAID that you can get over the counter. You can also apply warm compress.

It might be something else other than a muscle. I would get check out by my doctor because it could be an infection of some sort instead of just muscle strain. I personally have never heard of a bad sleeping position causing pain or discomfort for this long.
