You know it depends on what you're hearing. Many televangelists and churches preach a "prosperity gospel" which is diametrically opposed to the teachings of Jesus.

Some pastors preach that if you worship God and give money to church and pray God will pour blessings out on you and you will be rich and healthy and successful etc. If that is what you are listening to, you are right. Those pastors have distorted the truth for their own gain.

But this is totally opposite what Jesus taught which is "You cannot serve both God and money" He said that money can be your master - meaning that you will live to buy things and drive fancy cars, and wear fancy clothes etc. or God can be your master, and you will live humbly to please God. But they cannot both be your masters - you have to make the choice between God and money.

Repeatedly Jesus instructed people to sell what they have and give to the poor. He told people not to store up treasures on earth - like cars and clothes and toys, but to store up treasure in heaven by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and caring for the sick. Check out the links below.

That's the god of this world counterfeiting Christianity and bringing reproach upon the name of Christ. In the Bible it describes this false religious system as "Babylon" and God calls his people to come out of there before his wrath falls upon it.

If you're not a Christian and you can only see what has prompted you to post this question then I pray that God will give you eyes to see the truth before it's too late for you and the Devil has led you down to perdition with his lies and deceit, in Jesus' name, Amen!

The GOD of Christianity is NOT about money and greed, HE is about LOVE, MERCY and GRACE.

Preachers have perverted it into being about money and greed.

By the way I'm a Christian Pastor.

The only incident of Jesus losing his temper was with the thieves and money changers in the temple.
The true God is not happy with their greed, love of money, power ,and material things.

I am sorry if you feel that way and that just goes to show that you really don't know much about Christianity. If you are going to continue making rediculous claims like that you might want to open up a book first.

They all are. The collection basket is a giveaway. Now they say they use it to help others, but then they cover church artifacts in gold. It is all just a way to control and manipulate.
