Rectal bleeding demands immediate attention from a vet - it can be very serious.

My male pit bull had rectal bleeding several months back and the vet found that he ate part of a milk jug and was tryign to pass it. It was stuck and was causing the bleeding. The vet removed the plastic and gave him antibiotics and pain meds to get through the healing. Best of luck.

hmm this could be a lot of different things depending on a multitude of symptoms. but here's a few it could be: parasites, constipation, an object that is stuck and can not pass, parvo, distemper, giardia, or if it is a female you might be mistaking it for her period. if your dog has bloody diarhea and has a very rank odor, i would take it to the vet or emergency vet ASAP because this could be the start of something serious. unless the dog has her period, anal bleeding is rather serious and always needs a vet consultation. they will probably have you bring in a stool sample and do a multitude of tests to rule out parasites, or diseases and maybe an x-ray if they think there is something logged. i hope that it turns out well for you and your pup...i recently had to go through a bleeding tush and it turned out to be giardia, but the pup is all better :-D...goodluck and hope all turns out well!!

Go the vet. It could be in heat, constipated, or very bad diarrhea. If it is not current on vaccines. It could even be parvo or distemper. Is there any vomiting, lethargic? Eating and drinking okay. It could even be an ulcerating tumor back there. Your vet could be able to diagnose.

Your doggie needs to go to the vet. It could be an infection, it could be food allergy (if he has been having a lot of diarrhea), or it could be more serious.

sometimes if your dog is constipated and it is hard for them to poop then they can tear something from straining so hard and make themselves bleed. But definitely call a vet
