because he loves you and he thinks that you will still come to your senses and repent.

Without fully understanding the context of "why" God should strike you down, it is difficult to suggest an answer. The only reason I can think of is that you percieve that you did something terribly evil and that the penalty if there is a God is that you will be struck down by lightning.

But imagine if this was true, then it presents a problem to the millions of people acting out of their own will to further themselves but in the process hurt other people. Convenient as it may seem to just strike them all down, I am sure this is not the way a loving God would want to portray himself. (or herself)

because God doesn't randomly struck people down with lightning and if you're really wondering if god exists, there has got to be a better question than that

He does not exist. Lightning is just the discharge of particles it the atmosphere. The only way it will strike you down is if you stand out in a storm.

God truly exists and there is grace and mercy that keep us. You haven't been struck down by lightning because of his grace and mercy.

Maybe the bad stuff is for later. Because from where I stand lots of nasty people become millionaires, get elected into high national office, and are praised by all and sundry. And, go figure, religious people LOVE them! I don't know that the deal is with that, but I'm starting to get suspicious.

Because you weren't standing under a lightning bolt when one struck.

Because the Bible says that He is patient and long suffering not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and a saving knowledge of the Truth.

God doesn't want to kill you. He wants to love you and forgive you and have you love Him in return. Your question is like a child wondering why with all of the bad things they have done, their parents still love them and take care of them.

He never punishes us to the degree we deserve. He's merciful. Did you do something so bad that you think that you deserve to be struck with lightning????

We have a saying in our native tougue (tamil).

The king kills on the day he finds the culprit. God kills at his own leisure.

So, even if god has indeed decided on striking you down by lightning, it not going to happen when you are expecting it.

Hope this helps! :)
