well most people say do not do it
I say if you do do it, make sure you clean often, my sis in law used a shot glass several times a day, to help clean, and it still got infected.

What 13 year old needs a belly piercing? I suggest that you rethink your choice. Piercings are permanent- even if you take them out they scar. Consider carefully the message such a piercing on someone your age will send to people. (Hint: it's not a positive one.)

I think you are young and it well be with you
as long as you want it. You can take the piercing out if you decide it's not for you. Be sure to get an older persons opinion. You my not be responsible at your age as far as keeping it clean ,this is where an older person can help you keep an eye on it with you.If it
shows signs of infection that you might not see they well be there to help.keep it simple lifes so short....have a good summer....

I'm pretty certain it is illegal in most, if not all, states to do any body piercing on anyone under 18, and doing it yourself and not in a licensed parlor is asking for HUGE problems.
Don't do it. You are too young to make such a permanent decision. If you wait until 18, then you can do what you want.

Are you insane sweety, you will regret it , believe me. I got y tongue peirced when I was eighteen and took it out only six months later, it is a waste of money and time. My best friend got pregnant, had her belly button peirced and had to take it out and now has a disgusting scar there, so if you ever plan on having children, say no to belly button.

Yea....don't do it. I am 24 and I got mine pierced about 3 weeks ago.....I regret it now.....I can't even imagine having it done at 13.....who does that? What are you....7th....8th grade? Atleast wait until your junior year of High School when it is slightly more acceptable...you are just too young.

my suggestion i would wait! i got mine pierced for my 13th bday adn now im turning 14 and it will hurt for a week like if you've started you period already then you would know what cramps fell like...times that by like 20 adn tehn pnich yourself as hard as you can and you have what it feels like for a week...besides i have a chain on mine that got caught on my jeans button adn it hurt like hell! no joke! i dont wanna scare you but im just letting you know if i could do it over again i would totally wait until i was older our bodies are still grwoing dont stick a needle in any other spot than your ears until you are at least 16-18 just to let you know!

My daughter did that- and had a major infection for 9 months!! She ended up having to get treated by the doctor, and had to remove the jewelry and it finally healed. Think twice!!

Don't do it! You are legally 3 yrs too young in most states. I did it and regret it. You will have a whole and scar in you stomach forever. It doesn't heal, it hurts and is a pain to clean. Plus, it's out of style.

i have my belly pierced. my best advice is to be prepared to clean it religiously! it's not hard but you have to do it several times a day. if you're willing to do that, it will heal nicely and you will love it. I've had mine for almost 10 years now.
and BE SURE TO GO TO A REPUTABLE PIERCER!!!
