forget the legality.we know they can LEGALLY lite up. it is just the facts as to what it does to those around them. if some one is smoking we can choose to aviod them. its when we are in a situation when they decide on there own to hurt those by lighting up.

I think that a lot of smokers probably don't even realize that they're affecting the people around them. Those that do probably couldn't care less what happens to other people. It's my opinion that smokers only smoke to feel as if they're "bad" or to escape reality.

I don't know where you are located, however, smokers in western Kentucky are respectful. And, as a smoker, I respect the rights of others. However, there are busybodies who feel they have the right to chastise smokers. For instance, recently, while dining at a restaurant where smoking is allowed, a man who weighed approximately 600 lbs., had the nerve to tell me "you need to stop smoking." Imagine that...he should have looked in the mirror (wide angle).

Hello, so speaking as a non-smoker, I do have to have to defend the smokers in our society. I have lived in an inner city area, that is surrounded by Pilots of Chemical Plants. These Different Pi lots are put into subdivisions, because each one sets off it's own different chemicals. Chemicals, that were the reasons for my two uncles cancer. They both worked at Dow for years, and never smoked, but cancer was a big issue, had they never worked for Dow, or any Chemical Plant it wouln't have hit them so hard and fast. My dad got Chemicals in his skin at work which caused, him to get a bleeding disorder. Me myself blame the Chemical Plants that surround us, because I have seizures, and as I have gotten older my seizures have gotten worse. I say that the Chemicals in Dow, and BASF have more than a great deal to do with it.

Im a smoker and a respectful one. Some people are not respectful of others and light up wherever they please because they believe it is there right to smoke. Which it is, its not illegal, (yet). You could say something to someone if you think it will help, but it probley wont.
