I am a new bachelor after 31 years of comfort and I fried chicken in the wok with virgin olive oil and it fried but well. Now I need to clean it and maike reservations the next time.

Oil and steel wool.
Soray oil in the wok
let set for a little while and rub gently with some steel wool.
wash as usual, and if it isn't like you want it,
repeat the process. remember to oil the pan when finished.

Usually you would just wipe the wok off with a clean cloth. The oils are essential for seasoning the metal. If the chicken really stuck to it, clean it with a scouring pad and then re-season the wok with vegetable oil to seal the pores of the metal.
