This could make for an interesting discussion. The koran says that muslims should allow nonbelievers to convert but if they refuse then the muslims should either force the nonbeleiver to pay some sort of tribute or tax for being allowed to live among the muslims or the second option is to just kill the nonbeleiver with no penalty. Sad but true. So much for that religion of peace theory. It also depends on whether you are reading in the koran from the time muhammad was in Mecca or Medina. One is peaceful and the other is merciless. The first one below is my personal favorite but this is just a few.

Slay them wherever ye find them and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. - 2:191

The unbelievers among the People of the Book (Christians and Jews) and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of hell. They are the vilest of all creatures. - 98:51

Muslims are harsh against the unbelievers, merciful to one another. - 48:25

It follows the Golden Rule.
Treat your neighbor as you want to be treated.

The Prophet Mohammad (saw) used to leave his house to go pray, but everytime he opened his door there would be a mound of trash laying there. His Jewish neighbor would leave the trash their almost everyday. The Prophet Mohammad (saw) never minded or raised a finger against him, instead he would clean it up and move along. Until suddenly for a long time the coming of the trash seemed to stop. This worried the prophet (saw), so he went to check on his Jewish neighbor, who he found was very ill. So he nursed him. And visited him often. this surprised the neighbor, for he was told something else of the prophet (saw). But eventually he realized he was told lies about Islam and the prophet, and so soon his Jewish neighbor was his reverted muslim neighbor.

Islam encourages to show compassion for everyone nomatter what or who they may be.

Muhammad used to have a non-believer neighbor (believed it was Jewish) who throw the trash in front of Muhammad house. Muhammad never hurt him neither throw the trash back to his house, but took the trash and throw it somewhere far. One day that neighbor got sick, and no one asked about him. the only one knock on his door was prophet Muhammad visiting him and checking about him. the non believer converted to Islam immediately.

so forgiveness and tender is the way. using wisdom. no force into Islam. you either believe or not believe. and to God you shall return to find the truth.

Assuming that through potential of believers or non-believers you advise non secular persons or non-non secular, I shall say that "faith" isn't a discriminator element for "intelligence". And once you confer with spirituallity, as to position inteligence into context, i'm uncertain in case you really make any journey. although, guessing somewhat what you really pick to ask, for my section the religion you prepare, or if you're or not an atheist, has not some thing to do with intelligence. Avicenna (muslim), Da Vinci (Catholic), Einstein (Jew), Stephen Hawking (ateist), all are great philosopher from distinct time and religions, or atheist, hence data that non secular believes has not some thing to do with inteligence. So the answer on your question, even if not precisely answering it, is that you'll not view intelligence in words of ways non secular you're, has it really is been shown that great thinkers are above the barrier of religion, or non-faith. even if as a really personal view, i might want to assert that I regard faith as a man made from human intelligence (and no non-intelligence). i.e. - at the same time as manking appeard and had the suffiecient intelligence as to celebrate with the concept of reason-result, it grew to develop into on an same time bond to this analyst wondering, and hence subject its nature to question the reason behind each and every little ingredient he sees. even if the shortcoming of ability of records, combine with this nature, created a frustration and emptiness that had to be fullil with options's eye. hence mankind is subject through potential of the favor of searching the excuses of all consequences, and the position its information and sensible can´t stumble on the reason, he creats the reason with its amagination! How others might want to apply faith as a gadget to handle plenty and how guy or woman intelligence is a determining element to counter loosen up it really is yet another subject count number!!! favor my answer consequences exciting.

Well if recent actions are any indicator, they don't suggest treating them very well... but I hope that what is in the news isn't the whole truth.
