Hold on.....how long have you been drinking? Every day, weekly, what? That makes a huge difference and the duration, months, years, what? Just stopping could kill you with d.t.'s, and are you on any medication, get help, go to sober.com or email me directly and I will help you find help, I just quit so I know....I had them too and almost had seizures because I was so heavily abusing....please get help whatever you decide.

This is not the easiest question, because the thing that will make you feel better the QUICKEST is the very one that got you here... ALCOHOL Now might be the time to review how you got here... Its not just for fun any more, family history, can't get out of bed, losing friends, can't tell your family what you did last night, you don't want to be inside your head because it feels better with something to drink... Its called SELF MEDICATING....Just think about talking to someone about it, maybe a family member, minister , AA (look on line or call information), there are PLENTY of options to help you NOT TO DRINK... It really is a GREAT thing to wake up in the morning.. no shakes, no vomiting, not worrying how you got home, or with who...what did I say to my "friends"...Sobriety is a gift you give yourself....It will be the most precious gift you will ever own.. You know when its time....

You're in a tough situation, but the shakes can be a sign of early dt's (delirium tremens) if I were you, I'd call 911 or get someone to take you to the ER to detox where there are doctors and nurses around to help you if things get bad. They can give you anti-anxiety medicine, and sedatives to help get you through this. When you get discharged from the hospital, I'd enroll in a rehab program, either inpatient, or something like alcholics anonymous.
