Several decades ago a bus full of kids broke down on rail road tracks. A train hit the bus killing all the kids and the driver. Had he opened the door as soon as he broke down and gotten the kids off they would have all lived. As a safety precaution, it was made a law that from then on, all public busses will stop just before rail road tracks, open the door, look and listen for trains.
