I'm a pretty healthy, unstressed, 14 year old male. When I run my fingers through my hair tightly I can pull out about 30 strands easily. Any idea what is going on? My dad is old and he has a full hed of hair so it can't be genetic. Any ideas? My hair is approx. 2 1/2 inches on top.

could be stress, or it's probably just natural. You lose like 100 hairs a day or something like that, as long as you don't see bald spots, I wouldn't worry about it. Also, maybe you should start taking a multivitamin, it could be lack of something in the diet!

First, if you wear a hat or baseball cap, that doesn't help, your head needs to breath. make sure you are using strengthening shampoo not just basic. Your hair does not need to be overly combed or shampooed or even jelled. The more you do to your hair the worse your hair becomes.
