The only way she's gonna learn is when the cat gets her. Same way kids learn fire is hot.

Not to mention that animals know when they dealing with babies and children. They know they are innocent. I have 2 cats and I have a 10 month old neice. She tries to bite one of them and plus the others tail. They just sit there. They even watch her when she sleeping. Trust me they know that's why they don't do anything. But I will say that if it hurts enough then they will defend themselves but it won't be too hard just enough to make them stop and your child will learn from that to not do that again.

DISCIPLINE HER!!! Smack her upside the head!! Why are you letting her choke an animal that is minding it's own business? I hope the cat scratches you both in the face and then runs away. Sounds like any place is better than your home. Get a grip on your child you beyotch!!

how do you expect your daughter to learn....you let her play with the cat......if she hurts the cat, it'll scratch her....Hey....there's a thought....she learns that the cat can hurt her and therefore shouldn't be doing that......no, that's too easy.....makes sense....ok P.C. answer.....you need to teach the cat, to leave your daughter alone before it hurts her. You cat needs to know it's actually a member of the family and not just some animal ya'll feed. Then as your daughter grows.....she'll know the cat as a brother or sister.....and not as a cat.....because that would be racist if you acutal "owned" a cat.

Just explain to her that you have to be gentle (show her how) with the cat because you don't want to hurt him. Do this whenever she starts going for the cat. Eventually, she'll catch on and remember everytime!

Teach the girl to be gentle with the cat. That's what we have to do with the little ones in our family.

Just let her know she needs to be careful because she can hurt the kitty or if the kitty gets hurt and upset it can hurt her.

i learned how to respect cats when i was seven. i was bugging our 15 year old cat, and i blew in her face. she got me real good on the nose, and i have always respected cats since. just remind your daughter to be kind to the cat.
