It's been over 2 years now, but I'm still not 100% over my ex-boyfriend. It just tears me apart every time I see a familiar surrounding on tv or in the movies (like places we've been to together before). Most movies take place in NY, and that was where we were. At one time, I even tried avoiding movies that take place in NY. But that's hard, and it's not logical in the long run.

Go out with someone else. Make NEW memories. Bury the old ones and start some new, happy ones. Take yoru new bf to the old places or to new places and just break apart the mojo you've got around the old places. Make different memories int eh old places, just change it aorund. Steel yourself when you remember and remind yorself its changed. YOure your own person and you can go wherever you want without being hindered. Stand up for yourself against your old self. Start a new.

I'm sorry if it sounds rude, but I think that the reason you not over your ex is because you don't have anybody new. It might sound simple, but I believe that all you need is to find a new love, new relationship, move-on... You really don't need to forget about your ex, he's your past, your history, part of your experience in this life. I'm sure there are a lot of good memories, but you are holding on to them without moving forward. Think of WHY the relationship has ended and move on. Don't hold on. Live goes on...

IT is time to move on & grow up. U said the afair was over 2 yrs, ago. It seems he has moved on but u havent. You are only hurting u now. Find some one who can take his place in your heart& and forget the old flame. The fire is out & u cant restart it.

Call your ex! Yes, call! Pretend that you dialed wrong! Then ask how life has been... Say you think about him from time to time. Then wish him well and tell him, if you ever need a friend give me a call. No harm done. You will be able to put him behind you. Best of luck, your in my thoughts..

nuke all the places.

no, don't you wish it was that easy?

actually, you should move on to the next boyfriend and then create memories in key locations that bother you and remind you of him so that the new experiences over-ride the old ones.

Remember, this next guy has got to be better than the last one for it to work.

Physically stay away from NY and find someone else to start making new memories with.

It would be better to know why he is your ex.
I would say to start dating other guys, get involved in things/activities that would keeo your mind off of him.
exercise, run, play tennis, read a book,
good luck
