level of faith (or your lack of it) would be the same as it is now, only for that religion instead?

Depends,
What is their equivalent of a nun with a ruler?

If I hadn't had the value of blind obedience drilled into me, I might not today be so exquisitely sensitive to anything smacking of intolerance. I don't understand how any person can claim that they KNOW the TRUTH about a Supreme Being, with such precision and infallibility as to exclude other traditions. By definition, a Supreme Being can NOT be understood, unless you are claiming such supremacy for yourself, too. This seems THE ultimate act of hubris to me.

It seems that churches build walls to separate people. Any Supreme Being who would foster the enmity between believers and non- believers as exists in some practices, such a Being is unworthy of my reverence. I would gladly burn in HELL for ETERNITY before worshiping an Entity who would turn me against my fellows.

I do know people with strong beliefs that practice tolerance. I do not condemn those whose faith provides the strength and centering which supports the expression of compassion for others. I would LIKE to join a church and be a member of a community. But always, after a few visits, something intolerant is preached against those outside of the faith, and I BOLT for the door!

[Okay, I'll put my soapbox away now.]

I don't think so. I'm one to look for all the answers and if something doesn't quite add up, I'm going to figure it out. So I don't see myself being as caught up in any other religion.
I've already had this experience with changing denominations within Christianity, but have always been some brand of Christian. When I was 12 years old and started figuring out that things within my denomination weren't quite right, I immediately started looking elsewhere.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have the same level of faith in any other religion.

I was catholic as a child, then atheist and finally I am buddhist, and I was much more into faith as a kid, and to that point I would have been probably the same in any religion

But since buddhism is not a matter of faith, but rather of reason, i guess i would probably have followed the same path anyway and right now i would be just as i am

I don't know how to answer this question because I was raised in a family of many religions. My mother is Muslim, my father is Methodist and my sisters and I are Catholic and go to Catholic schools. My parents raised me to believe in a higher power but gave me the choice of what religion to be whether it Catholicism, Methodism or a religion outside of Christianity.

While my mother is Pagan, I didn't know about it or know anything about paganism until I was eight. She was afraid that when I was younger I would have mentioned something to my Grandparents. I have a fairly high level of faith so....

I wasn't raised in any religion...in fact God wasn't even in the equation in any way...not for...not against...nothing. No mention at all.

God was there when I asked Him to prove His reality to me. He left no doubts. He did what no one on earth could do to prove to me He is really there. And no one would ever be able to change my mind because He convinced every fiber of my being. And He didn't just do it once...He's a lot of fun, and pokes His head in to my day many times in many ways!

My level of faith for Paganism is extremely high. I used to be Catholic. But, when I was Catholic, my faith was very high -- for a while.

I was raised a christian, but I'm now agnostic. I don't know, maybe I'd be an atheist if I was raised one. I doubt I'd be all that religious either way.
