It means his/her blood is too thin. Does your friend take a lot of aspirin or Motrin? These medications will thin blood. Or, does your friend have a significant other who may be abusing him/her, and he/she can't tell anyone? Just a thought.

Your friend should first go see a doctor. There are many reasons for easy bruising. It could be as simple as a vitamin deficiency. This can obviously be treated by increasing the intake of vitamins. Or, it could be a symptom of a more serious condition. Without knowing your friend's medical history it will be difficult for anyone to make a diagnosis. It is best to go to a doctor.

She should see her doctor by all means. It could be nothing or it could be something really big. Whenever you have to question something that would lead you to believe that you might need to see or ask a physician, then you should do just that. Health is not something to be taken lightly...a lot of illnesses and disease could be prevented or at the very least minimized by seeing a physician at the onset of any irregularities.

Please urge your friend to consult her doctor.

It can be a lack of vitamin C, and sure to be one of many problems. You head directly to a Md's office and tell him more of this story, and he/she will examine get blood test and make a diagnosis and you will not have to worry about it .

she needs to see a doctor. It could be nothing life-threatening, but there are several serious conditions that can cause that. I wouldn't intentionally try to alarm her, but do your best to convince her to see her doctor for some blood work.
