Jesus of History is found in: Thallus, Tacitus,Lucian,Suetonius, Josephus, etc. It is strange how these ancient historians would focus on a distant jewish rabbi from a distant land rather than the important Polital/Army leaders. We have WAY more info on jesus' life than ARISTOTLE, PLATO, CAESAR,etc. Our oldest Copies of their original work are like 500-1000 years from originals, We have gospel copies within 50 years of originals! I'm just saying that Jesus of faith is something that needs faith, not proof because people don't believe in his miracles.

Very few people, even hardline atheists like myself deny that Jesus existed. It is his divinity that we dispute.

Yes, there is a LOT of historical evidence to validate His existence. Yet, even those who lived during His lifetime didn't believe when they could see His miracles first-hand. The question you may be asking is, with all the historical evidence, why not believe? What does one have to lose by believing (especially when there is so much to lose by not believing, if Christ is indeed Savior)? And the follow-up could be, what is a better religious system than salvation by God's forgiveness (rather than my trying to earn it by being good... because, how would I know when I am ever good enough?) ???

Josephus on his work on Jewish History had about three lines about Jesus... wow if you call that focus then I feel sorry for you.

Yup, Jesus probably did exists, and he was a prophet too. So, what??

He was born in a jewish family, and died at the hands of the romans.

And he preached a religion.

So, what part is unbelievable?

We also have a lot on Muhammed. We have as much on Alexander the Great as Jesus. Do you think they are gods?

Plus, who knows just how much is speculative or made up?

Huh. Well, you convinced me. I'm throwing out my science text books, buying lots of Christian rock music, removing my testicles, and moving to the South! Thanks!
