Christianity will be illegal all over the world, during the Tribulation.

Good or Bad?

Religion is what you think - its a philosophy, or a thought; so it cannot be illegal, at least in USA.

Religion is illegal in several countries - China for example, did not encourage religion. Many islamic countries do not allow public expression of any other faith, other than islam - ie one cannot build churches, temples etc. there.

Will it be good? I dont think so. USA is where it is today - the most advanced nation - because it encouraged pluralism, that includes religions freedom and diversity. By banning any religion, including christianity, you would be loosing out on those people who have many talents, but also believe in a religion.

Like the Talibans dont represent most muslims, please dont think that the group of hatists - Bill O'Reillys, The Falwels, Robertsons etc. represent the Christians in USA. The actions of these few should not be the reason to ban the religion.

I think it could happen. I hope it doesn't.
In a way it would be a good thing. Once it becomes illegal, the posers would disappear.
It will be a bad day for the U.S. though. I agree, the U.S. is not really a Christian nation anyway.

I'd hope not. Certainly, it would be a bad thing to do away with freedom of conscience in any way.

Of course, in those countries where Christianity has been outlawed, it does have the effect of making the church more lean but more dedicated and more pure. Think about it. When it's popular to be a Christian, many people join for popularity. When there's persecution, only the true believers will hold firm, and then, I think, the image of the church would improve, because all the "users" who give the church such a bad name would find a more popular medium to sell their scams.

I don't think it will ever be openly declared illegal, but I think there is a very concerted effort to attack it going on right now. For example, being free to express your religious views in public, or to admit to having religious convictions is not illegal, nor should it be (for ANY religion). But if you are a Christian today and you express (express in this case being "not hide") your faith, then you are accused of being oppressive to other faiths, and repressive to the people who practice them.

I am a Christian, and I have a wide variety of friends, ranging from various denominations of Christian to Jewish to Pagan to Atheiest to Buddhist. I have respect for everyone's faith, and the freedom to express it. I just want the same for mine.

I saw a bumper sticker once on a car owned by someone I knew who was Wiccan. It said "Freedom of Religion means ALL Religions." I couldn't agree more - and that includes Christianity.

I don't think religion should be illegal, but secular government is the healthy and probably only way to run a country when there are citizens of many different faiths and none, they can't all be expected to be following Christian religious law and having legislation based upon it.

Yes, true Christianity will become illegal in the United States and for all true Christians that will be a good thing because it will mean that Jesus is coming very soon.

Revelation 13:4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?" 5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, 8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear: 10 If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints. 11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

It will never happen. The Christian Church holds too many billfolds in Washington DC to allow that to happen. I think ANY religion made Illegal would be bad. It be direct violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution. People need to let people live their own lives and believe in what they believe to be true. Diversity isn't just for racism. If it was illegal, it would be bad. But I'd break the law anyway like Daniel (as in Daniel and the Lion's Den).

It won't be illegal, unless someone changes the Constitution and turns us into a Communist nation.

I hope not. Whether or not i agree with most main stream Christians believe. I completely believe in their right to believe it. To make any religion illegal would be a horrible thing.
