Are Ghosts real? How Do you know?

i want to belive that ghosts exist but i have never seen one wheres the best place to try?
does anyone here have an experience?

I truly believe that there is "energy" ... I have had a few experiences. One main one, when my mother died and we had several strange occurrences with surging of electricity, which ran through my stove (when it wasn't on at 2:00 in the morning) lights flickering, breakers going off ... all during the first few days after she passed.

If you are thinking of experimenting with a Ouija board - DON'T ... you typically bring in bad sources of energy.

Yes they are. I am a ghost hunter and have heard, and seen things that cannot be explained away. The best place to start is a reported "Haunted House" in your neighborhood. However do not break any trespass laws. Also do not go alone, that is for your own safety. I have a picture of a partial bodied apparition on my groups website. I will post the url below and the link name. Also on my sight is a list of equipment that my group uses. I have seen a ghost when I was 9 years old. I only found out recently that the house we lived in at the time a little girl was murdered in.

Graveyards are not a good place to look. The reason being is a spirit will stay where it died not with the body. If there are any roadside memorials where someone had got hit by a car and died you can try there. Don't expect to see anything when you go. Spirits do not come out on command, so if you don't expect to see anything then you won't be disappointed. If you would like e-mail me and I can give you some pointers.

well, they aren't really "ghosts" like what hollywood does but some is..
Some ghosts appear to be mere recordings on the environment in which they once existed. A civil war soldier is seen on repeated occasions staring out a window at a house where he once stood guard. A dead child's laughter is heard echoing in a hallway where she often played. There are even cases of ghost cars and trains that can still be heard and sometimes seen, even though they are long gone. These types of ghosts do not interact with or seem to be aware of the living. Their appearance and actions are always the same. They are like spirit-level recordings - residual energies - that replay over and over again.
More often though, it's someones imagination being projected so they can see it REMEMBER we only use about 10% of the brain- imagin what the rest can do.

I have never seen one but have had many a strange experience.'s. I def agree with what some one else has said, do not be tempted to use a ouija board. You are opening up channels that you just can't close properly. Would be similar to leaving your front door open and inviting ANYONE in. Just because people have passed over to the other side it does not mean thay were any better than they may have been in life. I believe that if someone wants to come and see you, they will. However just by talking and showing an interest you are opening up your channels. Apparently most experience's happen at night. therefore most people put it down to dreaming. Happy hunting x

There are spirits or ghosts among us. You have to be sensitive to the paranormal to experience contact with a spirit...unless you call a spirit from the other side and that is something that I would suggest that you do not do unless you are ready to call a priest. Remember that you don't always get what you ask for. You should check out the New Age section of your bookstore. Oh...most times a spirit contacts a person for a reason...like to deliver a message to that person or to someone that they know...it is not something that you want to happen. Trust me! I was brought up in a Southern Baptist home and talk of these things were forbidden, but my great-grandparents had a spirit in their home after they expanded to a duplex and later found that the addition was built on an Indian Mound. The Family sold the home and no one will live there to this day because WEIRD things always happen.

I cannot say that I have "seen" one. I know ghosts are real because they taunted me in the last house I lived in. ie. changing the radio station, moving items around (things I knew I didn't put there), I saw my beaded curtains move by themselves when there wasn't a breeze of any kind in the room. My cat would look around as though she were following something or someone with her eyes that wasn't visible. This is no bull. This went on for the entire year and a half I lived in that house. The house was vacant for almost two years before we bought it. It was located in a neighborhood where houses do not stay on the market long, which we thought was odd. At the time of purchase, we simply thought we were lucky to be aquiring such a nice house at such a good price.

I don't believe in ghosts; but, I'd love to believe that when you die, it may still be possible to communicate with your loved ones still alive on earth. Of course, this is wishful thinking, but I have a few stories from my own personal experience, which, if they are to be believed, could be interpreted as messages from the other side. All I know is, that when I die, i will do everything I can to let everyone I left behind know I'm okay. In fact, I'd like to become a real nag about it. You know, the kind of spirit that my relatives will have to hire an exorcist to get rid of.

Ghosts are real. You do not have to see them to know they are there. Just because you want to see them, does not mean they will let you. I am not a seer. I am a feeler. I have been a professional maid for going on 4 years, and I can feel when there are deceased family members watching me take care of their family's house. Also, I lost my brother in a car accident almost 10 years ago and he has never really left me. But he's not a ghost, not as you'd term it. Real ghosts are residual energies and earthbound spirits who cannot or refuse to find their way into the light. I have done much research on this matter, and yes, ghosts are for real. But lots of times, energies that are not earthbounds do reach into this realm, such as these deceaseds and my brother... find them for yourself, for if you seek them they'll find you.

Yeah, I think they are real. When my husband was living, he used to rub my leg when I had a charley horse at night. Now since his passing, I believe he is still with me in spirit. Recently,one night I had a charley horse in my leg while I was lying in the bed. Suddenly, my bedroom door flew open then I heard the doorknob click. It's the clicking sound when a person lets go of the knob. I screamed but no one was in the house. My cramping suddenly went away. I believe that my late husband came in spirit to comfort me. Yes, I definitely believe in ghosts.
