When my kids were younger, I couldn't live without this site: http://dltk-kids.com/

It has so many printables that the kids can do and color and learn. And so many crafts. We were never bored.

I also spent $30 and bought loads of construction paper, glue sticks, googly-eyes, foam stickers, sequins...all kinds of stuff.

Just get some mats to protect your table and let them have at it!

Also, Family Fun magazine is awesome for things to do. It's been wonderful for our family.

I am *SO* not the crafty person, but it is so much fun when the kids are doing it.

My son and daughter have also been entertained for hours - seriously- with those medium-sized white plastic cups. I bought a huge bag at Costco and they build walls, pyramids and all sorts of things and then knock them over. Stack them up in a few seconds and they are ready for another day. I bet your sons could make an obstacle course for some toy cars or something.

Art projects are awesome. You can get loads of ideas online. This is great for rainy days. Plan trips to the park or the zoo. Depending on your finances find places to go. If finances are tight you would be amazed at the free stuff you can find at your near by parks.Invite over play dates. Let them help with things like preparing lunches. (kids love it mom's hate it) Get them outside games. I don't know there ages or I would suggest some.

Now if that all fails.......follow steps bellow
1. cry because you feel you have failed (even though you have not)
2. pull at your hair like a mad woman
3. lock yourself in your room and pretend you are not a mommy for about a half hour
4. put kids in the car (screaming and yelling at one another of course)
5. drive to the gas station and buy a six pack of beer
6. hopefully by the time you get home and pop the top someone will be there to rescue you! If not get a buzz you will be more entertaining to your children that way....LOL
(ok last part was a joke nobody freak out on me now.)

Go to the park. If you live near a park walk to it. Shoot baskets with them, go swimming, on picnics. Bike ride. If they are very young, take their trikes or hot cycles to the park where they have lots of room to ride in a safe area.

In the evening sit out while they catch fire flies. Take them fishing. Let them pick up their own night crawlers.

Go to the library, the mueseums in Springfield, the Henson Robinson zoo, Knights Action Park. Go bowling, to a cardinal game, visit relatives or friends. Babysit with other kids, so you make some money and they have other kids to play with.

I have 4 that range in ages of 14-3 and I am counting the days until school starts. We go to the park, they do educational games on the computer and we go to the librarys summer program. Making cookies together is fun, sometimes! Good luck!

I have two 2 yr. old boys. We have been playing outside lots this summer- Sandbox, swings, sprinkler, side walk chalk, lots of different sized balls. The library also has a great preschooler program. I have also invited my other friends who have small children over for coffee so that the kids can play together and we can visit, some!

Bring them in the kitchen and do little stuff like freeze yogurt on a stick or fruit and let them eat it later or anything easy and simple. Do like arts and craft things like coloring or making stuff out of clay. Also let them help you around the house doing little stuff. Yall could go out to the park or bike rides anything outside. Take them and grow a little garden and let them feel responsible.

I am a mom of two.
go to the library, storytime,
arts & crafts ( can be for all ages)
chores (2 and over)
swim, park,walks
dance, boardgames & card games

make a schedule for the week it's eaiser that way. don't get in the habit of tv or dvd's they wil get board sooner or later. Trust me. You need to see the beauty in watching your kids learn in order to enjoy these things. When they are bored, they get mischivious.

well, walks are so good, (keeps you and them in shape) and if you get a ruitine keep it steady. like, eat lunch at 12:15 EVERY DAY.

you could play games with them. Make up a cleaning game. This room has to be clean. You choose one boy to be the "clean king" and he tells the others where to clean. When you change rooms, change "kings"

go to the library. Usually they have things going on in the summer that are for littler kids.

have them make projects for you, then promise them you will give them a big big hug and an extra story before bedtime. (bonding moments are always very good)

have them practice writing. (if they're 4+) write their names, then have them write them. Then write everyone's names in the family.

have them tell you thier favorite story, then you tell them yours

have them tell you somewhere they would like to live someday, what thier house will look like, will they get married? have kids? what color will their rooms be? will they live together? so on...

Good luck. I could go on forever. email me if you want more ideas....yellowflowerpoetry@yahoo.com

If you want to get out of the house- take them to the park, take them to see a movie, take them to the zoo, take them to see an outdoor show somewhere, take them to a friend's house, if you like baseball and your favorite team is playing during the day you can take them to a baseball game, take them to see a relative, take them shopping for toys/school supplies/clothes,take them out to breakfast/lunch somewhere. If you still can maybe you can enroll them in a summer camp.

In the house- Play board games with them, have them do creative things like drawings, teach them something like a dance or how to play an instrument, have them help you clean the house, rent a movie and watch it with them, play music for them if you play an instrument, help them prepare for school, call a parent of a friend of theres and arrange a play date at your house
