Write what you feel, think about what she's done for you over the years, maybe focusing on a special memory or two, start to write, and you may find yourself writing a beautiful poem. It doesn't have to rhyme and even if what you end up with is something more like a letter than a poem that's ok too. She'll treasure it I guarantee it. I wanted to do something similar for my Dad one year and wrote him a short letter thanking him for the love and guidance he's given me as I've grown. (I'm 35 now) and my Mom said that my never emotional Dad got very emotional when he read it. Just be honest and tell her what you feel about her, don't try to be fancy or sappy, just write and you'll be very surprised and so will she!
Happy birthday to your Mom!

The links are nice to visit. The third link gives you a little idea on how to write your own poem, and also has poems for you to look at.
Let me tell ya,...as a mother, I would love anything from the heart of my child, even if it doesn't make total sense!
Have fun with it and be creative! Draw some pictures or include some funny photographs!

I don't have a specific poem in mind, but check out the site below. It's a great source for mom and dad poems.

A MOTHER'S LOVE

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

I wish to hear a "Happy birthday". Write a poem by yourself, that is a true present for your mother, something from your heart and love.
Here some tips:
I love you mom
For all you've done
I wish that this day
Will never end again
Like my Love for you
A year always go
But because i love you so
I will never go

yea here's one..off the top of my head....

We know you wanted a diamond ring
one big enough for a queen or king.
but we can't afford it we wish we could,
because if we had the money you know we would.
We'd give you everything you ever wanted & needed
because in our lives you have succeeded,
You taught us everything we know
and in hardest times to grow.
And when we grow up we'll make you proud
to tell everyone "That's my child."
So we want you to know, no matter what we go through
In our hearts, we'll always love you!

(If your an only child change the we's to I)

I agree with those that say that if you can, write one for her yourself since it could be more personalized and from the heart. If not, you could check out this site

Write her one yourself...

Really look into your heart and find your emotions and put them in writing...

She will love anything you give her, but she'll really be touched if you create somthing with your own energy and will...

How do you feel about her? write about it...
