My Shih tzus eating deer poop?

My Shihtzus go crazy when they find deer poop. It's like a chocolate cake to them. I had the 5 week old shihzu puppies out in the yard today and they found the deer poop also and ate it! What gives?

This could cause your dogs some problems, I know eating goat poo is not good for dogs. Can make them very sick.They carry all kind of bad stuff . Maybe your dogs need some vegies. Try raw carrots sticks.They are good for them and make good low cal treats. Is the Poo in your yard? If so try getting some human hair , Like from your hair dresser or barber shop and spred it around your yard and the deer won't come in the yard. Try carrying a loud horn or whistle to sound when they start to eat or find the Poo. If they come to you when you do this give them a treat. but don't let them eat the Poo.Also 5 week old pups should not be outside.no immune system yet and all they have seen is their mom eating their poo so they thing thats what they are to do to. Any animal that is sick, raccoon,another dog,etc. that goes thru your yard could endanger your pups health, and life. They have nothing to fight a bad illness with. too little. Thats why you need to give 6weeks shots, 8 weeks shots, 12 week shots, and a booster and rabies at 4 mo.. That just like any babies. they NEED SHOTS

Deer eat a lot of berries, its probably sweet, and the dogs probably like it. Gross as it may be.....

thats not a good thing. they can get worms from it, possibly heart worms and die from it. u might want to keep an eye on them so they dont eat anymore
