No you have at least 10 years, I think the age limit is 35 or 39. I am in the Army and we have had enlistees that are in their thirties on a regular basis. You would almost be considered young, and I guarentee that you won't be the oldest person in basic training.

No, you're not too old. I knew a couple people who were about your age when they joined the Marine Corps, which is under the Department of the Navy. One guy was prior Army and was 28 when he joined. A girl was 29 when she joined. Come to think of it, there was a woman who was 30 when I went to boot camp and that was before 9/11. Because of the whole ordeal overseas, the age limit has been uped to 30 something. I just hope you don't have a problem with taking orders from people younger than you, it can get irritating at times, but it's something you have to put up with.

I don't think you are too old to joing the Navy, I think the cut off is 32 or 35. Go talk to a recruiter.

Some jobs do have a waiting list, My son enlisted in January, left December, it was a long wait but worth it. He loves it.

No! You're not too young! I went through boot camp with a guy that was 32. I'll admit, we gave him a hard time and called him Grandpa but he's a shipmate and we all give each other a hard time! It's never too late to make a new beginning and the Navy will still accept you.

Marines go on "floats" with the navy all the time. you get the best of both worlds.

I think 34 is the limit but not sure. Call a recruiter. But 28 is still ok

You not too old unless you are over 34. At 28 you may need a waiver but that will not be a problem.
