She's also single, and iso of a relationship; however, some men view the above situation and ansumes she would be "high maintenance" to him. Yet, independent means she's capable of taking care of herself, yet desirous of being in a relationship.

Men are intimidated because they do not know where's the place within that woman's life. It is difficult to play prince charming (who is suppose to rescue the princess) when the princess is capable of taking care of herself. A lot of men don't know how to be supportive and accept her independence while retaining their sense of manhood at the same time.

It goes back to the bio-psychological issues of our ancient ancestors. Human male DNA is hard coded to protect the female. Some men are better able to cancal out this instinct than others. Also, some men may grow up in homes learning that women are subservient to men and these men may also have a religious figure who teachers women's place is in the home.

Personally, I like independent women. Double Income No Kids can lead to alot of fun for a young couple.

Well, this "old lady" just calls ordinary things LIFE. Independent, yes, warm and loving, yes, proud of a few particular accomplishments, sure.( From high-school drop-out to college deans list.) I only thing that I proclaim is that I beat the odds to a certain extent. I'm too busy just living life to worry about impressing anyone. Hoped this helped your question.

Many men are intimidated because of societies false idea that the guy should be the successful one, yet I see nothing wrong with a successful woman because it shows that she can actually support herself and that she's strong.
