when you can wake up next to that person and kiss them bad breath and all.........when you can look at that person and you can not imagine what your life will be like without them in it or even remember what life was like before you were with them. when you can imagine what the two of you will look like old together talking to your grandchildren on the porch ..........that is how you know when you can look at other people who are attractive and not even notice

Unfortunetly this is something the human will never know for certain. But we go for our intuition and most of the time it is right but other time it is wrong. When we are in love or lust our mind fills up with a fog and we can only see the person we are in love with. The world falls to pieces and the only thing we care about is that special woman/man. And at this precise moment we feel that we could spend the rest of our lives with this person. And then we wake up and smell the daisies and the person we are in love with does not seem so enticing anymore. Which is normal. All relationships have their ups and downs like pot holes on a road and we have fights where we swear we never want to see that person anymore. i think the best way for you to determine whether you want to spend the rest of your life is to see how the two of you have got through the hardships. If you have been able to work things out and still in love with that person then i think yes you can spend the rest of your life with them and if not then you know that you will fight most of the time making life for the both of you unbearable. Make sure that you love this person not floating in lust, because lust dies and love lives forever.

Is he the most important guy in your life right now? How about in the past as well? The future? Does he make the REAL you happy? Can you accept all of him for who he is flaws and all?
Would you give your life for him - truly? Can you live without him now that he's a part of your life? Think about these things, and you tell me.
If you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints, it's not until death do you part, but for eternity. Look into the religion. It's really a wonderful thing.

I think when you can see them old in your eyes and still love them and when you think about waking up to them for the rest of your life and still love them. I also found out if you take time away from them and feel empty they are probably the one.
