What do u think of this joke?

Question

After giving a speech at an elementary school, President Bush allows the kids to ask a few questions.
One little boy, Billy, gathers the courage to raise his hand and asks, “How come you invaded Iraq without the support of the U.N.?”

Just as Bush begins to answer, the recess bell rings and he says they’ll continue afterward. Half an hour later the kids come back inside. “Where were we?” says George.

“Oh, yes - does anyone want to ask me anything?” A different boy raises his hand and says, “I have three questions:

First, why did you invade Iraq without support from the U.N.?

Why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?

And third, where the heck is Billy?”

I didn't think it was all that funny because I think Bush has integrity, and I don't like it when people defame people who have integrity. I have heard the joke before. I've also heard a version in which Hillary was the person giving the talk. In general, I don't think making fun OF people is funny. This was a mild joke, not nearly as bad as some others I have seen.

There are people who study folklore. One time, I was asked to participate in a study on folklore. We were supposed to write down any elephant jokes we had heard, and where we heard them. I think it would be interesting to do the same with this joke. This studies how humor propagates through a community.
