I'm blonde and i skipped a grade my best friend is brunette and she's been held back! So what's up with the hair color stereotype?

Look back in time dear. Check out really old 20's films and nearer ones going to Marilyn Monroe. It got a lot of attention from the opposite sex. The classic damsel in distress, getting the attention of a male suitor, solely for the purpose of marriage. Today you have the air headed paris and nicole keeping the shame alive and well, and idiots still going for it. It's the testosterone in males that makes them ga ga for it all. How unfortunate for the true intellectual blonde.

It's a stereo type. Nothing to the hair color. Before Marilyn Monroe started dying her hair blonde and making movies to portray blondes as dumb, it was just a hair color.

i don't know why people do that. its mean. i'm a blonde too and everyone makes fun of me even though i am a straight A student. sometimes people tell jokes and i don't really get them till a few minutes later, but that doesn't make me stupid. i think blonde jokes are mean and people shouldn't stereotype people just because of the color of their hair!

What they mean by dumb blonde, is that you have no common sense!!! You can be book smart, but most of the time you just don't have common sense!! Don't worry its not just blondes that have no common sense, Red heads and brunette have blonde moments too!!!

That is how I feel. I am one the top people of my whole 8th grade and people still use the dumb blonde stereotype stuff on me, it is sooo stupid

its a stereotype it is not true. some blonds give off that image like Jessica Simpson with the chicken of the sea thing it was just for TV shes not really that stupid she actually smart.

Most people do it out of jealousy, they just want to be blond themselves. Other people do it because either they think it's funny or they're really pissed at a blonde they know.
