There is actually no way that you can get rid of the Frito smell on your dog. They smell like that for certain reasons mainly because they acquire their own scent so they know where they've been.
There is a shampoo at Petco called Spa Creations. There are many different smells you can choose but, it's a perfume that stays on your dog to help make the smell less noticeable. We use it on my dog and it helps a lot. He smelt like Doritos whenever he slept.
I hope it works for you as well.

Is it a normal doggie smell? I had a wonderful dog that smelled terrible, no matter how many baths she received. Turns out, she had a yeast infection on her skin and the doctor had to prescribe a special lotion. If your dog just has that usual "doggy" smell, it is normal, that once the oils return to his skin the smell comes back. Use an antibacterial soap, and then follow with some conditioner as well. You don't need to buy special shampoo. A bath once a week, should suffice.

I have a stinky dog too! It helps to use a smelly shampoo, I use Crazy Dog in cherry for him.
You can also use a gentle dishwashing detergent on him, they also have good smelling ones, just make sure to rinse well.
I also occasionally use baby wipes on him in between baths.

Between baths, try using dryer sheets or special "dog wipes". Just rub on your pet and the smell stays a few days

a lemon or lime smell always does the trick because the scent is so strong, you can't just spray a lemon fragrance, you have to clean with it, my sister has an outside dog and every now and then he has to take a bath rite, meaning that he has to come in the house. imagine a smelly, sweaty, dirty dog coming into your house, that leaves and horrifying odor. trust me after he goes back out and people come in nobody suspects a thing.

It could be his diet causing the smell. Look at the dog food label. The first ingredient should be meat. Cheap, poor quality foods can cause dogs to smell bad.
