If you could "play God", what's the ONE thing you would do?

I would VERY SLOWLY and VERY CLEARLY send a sign to the people of the world, something unmistakable that everyone could understand, as to what I do and do not want people to do in my name. Something that could not be misinterpreted by the most close-minded fundamentalist (of any religion), or brushed off by the most committed atheist. Something that would once & for all end all of the squabbling & bickering & name calling & religious hatred.

I would do as you said "Play". Much like The Sims, if you can imagine it, or perhaps Spore when that comes out. Sim Life anyone.

However, assuming I were a truly Omnipotent being who has no need for frivolous pursuits such as "fun" I would do nothing, well, except maybe make "anything" possible. Which is probably not as far off from realistic as it is right now. The reason? Its not my place to mess, by playing God I have no reason to do anything because it doesn't affect myself.

I could say things like, make peace or give food to all, but there is a learning process involved, that is probably best if it stayed.

Stopping people from doing the most evil things would do more bad than good. To every ying their is a yang. Would you rather have many small terrible things or few very bad things. By doing terrible acts you draw attention to it and prevent it from ever happening again. Do you not agree?
