if a drunk driver has kids in the car, they are charged with child abuse and child indangerment. since recent studied show that talking on a cell phone while driving, the driver is more impaired than a drunk driver and is more likely to get into a wreck. so why don't cell phone users while driving get charged with child abuse and child indangerment?

dui laws are made to fill local government coffers. They've developed their test so they can prove you are "impaired". As soon as they come up with a test to show how "impaired" you while talking on a cell phone, you'll be able to be charge with it.

cell phone use is harder to prove in court ( officers testomony only as to what he saw) no physcial evidence

not all states even have laws against cell phone use.

and knowing drunk driving, I would say that the studies were bias and not valid, from personal experience viewing both as a police officer.

Cell phones only distract your attention.
Drunk driving slows your mental capacity to drive a car by slowing your reaction time and can even blur your vision.

Please cite your source of the recent study. I think we'd like to take a look at it and see what it shows.

Pretty soon, we won't be able to do anything while driving.

Believe it or not, I went to lunch with my brother the other day, and he almost crashed while eating his sandwich at the wheel.

We live in a desert state, it would be terrible if we weren't allowed to have water or some other beverage with us on the road.

I usually only use mine while driving when I'm reporting the drunk driver ahead of me.
