My wife is in the US expecting a baby. I only need a two week visit visa to the US to cut the cord and be there when she's delivering. Does anyone know how I could go by it. How can I convince the Visa officer that I would be back to my country with my wife.

I wish I knew how you can get the visa you want! I do know this, though. If you somehow can't be there, you will have another 30 or more years to love your wife and child and, in three months or less, it won't matter that you couldn't be there for the birth.

Does your wife have a friend who can film it? Or take still pictures? (And if she doesn't speak English well, interpret for her! That's even more important! Hospital interpreters can't be there all the time.) Could her friend cut the cord while doing it in your honor?

I know those aren't what you want, but you and your wife should be working this out in case you somehow don't get here.

I hope you get here, and the best to you, your wife, and your child!

Sure you should be there for the child birth!

You got her inseminated! Do the right thing, stand up and cut the cord!

Get the first feeling how it is to be the "biological" father to this child!

Where are you? You should be able to apply for a visitors visa with proof that your wife is pregnant, unless shes under age or you are a criminal.

I don't know how to get back here, but Child support is a great motivation to get there.
