I AGREE!!!! I posted a similar question last month and people got SO pissed at me. Too many gullible people on here taking advice from people who have never been in or can relate to that situation and they are giving horrible advice like "OH your suicidal? Take a ton of meds and go kill yourself." It is truly sad but if people that dumb are gonna take the advice... maybe its for the best!

Well I think that a lot of people say they are suicidal but they ain't. When i tryed to end it 4 or 5 times i diden say anything to anyone I just did it but as you can see it diden work. As for me if I feel suicidal I don't tell anyone I don't try to get help I don't call a hot line I just try and do it. But that's me That's the way I am

it really sucks because suicidal people and suicidal ocd thoughts are hard to distinguish and deal with
i've tried, but obviously survived suicide twice. but i also have obsessive suicidal thoughts daily. i can't help but want to die.
for example... today is my birthday, my feeling today is, if i was born on this day, why don't i have the choice to die on this day?
it's a real touchy subject and hard to deal with and you can't know for real if anyone person is serious or not and you can't ask someone like another person said... fill out the question... are you suicidal? yes or no if yes, you can't post here... just won't work.

if a person is really wanting to kill their self they will not post, they will not ask for help, they will just do it. the misconception about asking for help is for the ones that aren't really going to do it any way. if you find someone on the Golden Gate Bridge who says stay back or I'll jump their is a 99% chance it's not going to happen. if they do jump there is no loss, you don't want that person in the gene pool anyway.

I really don't know how we can prevent that from happening, but those who respond to those posting with suicidal thoughts should be more considerate.

THey are reaching out for help!!! I agree that several comments are made that are insensitive.
I have to disagree with Old Fart about not doing it if they're talking or writing about it. Again...they are reaching out for help!
I had a boyfriend in high school that use to talk about killing himself constantly. He called me one night and told me was going to kill himself and I told him that he always talks about it and that he wasn't going to do it...Guess What? He was found by his younger brother dead. He took a bullet through his mouth. I was 16 when it happened.
When someone talks about suicide...I LISTEN!!!

I agree with you, to an extent. I think they should be able to post, but the people that tell them to kill themselves should not. That is not even something to joke about. Know what I mean?
