Because you do not understand the Godhead.
He is 3, but not 3 separate persons.
He is FATHER...above us.
He is SON...with us.
He is Spirit...in us.
One God, 3 manifestations.

God is one...
DEUTERONOMY 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

God is a Spirit...
JOHN 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

He does not change...
MALACHI 3:6
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

He is FATHER, above us...
EPHESIANS 4:6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

He (Jehovah), alone is our Saviour...
ISAIAH 45:21
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

He would BECOME a Son...
ISAIAH 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

God became flesh and died on the cross, and rose...
I TIMOTHY 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

God, as the Holy Spirit, became flesh so that He could shed His blood (in order to redeem us)...
ACTS 20:28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

He was God "WITH US"...
MATTHEW 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
GREEK LEXICON -- STRONG'S NUMBER 1694
1694 Emmanouel {em-man-oo-ale'} of Hebrew origin
1) Emmanuel meaning "God with us", was the title applied to the Messiah, born of the Virgin, Mt 1:23, Is. 7:14, because Jesus was God united with man, and showed that God was dwelling with man.

He was the EXPRESS IMAGE of God...
JOHN 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
JOHN 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
HEBREWS 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

He is God, in us...
JOHN 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

The fulness of God was in Jesus...
COLOSSIANS 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

For the Son and the Father is the SAME PERSON...
JOHN 14:9
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Jesus is also the name of the Father...
JOHN 10:25
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
ISAIAH 45:23
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
ROMANS 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
ACTS 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
EPHESIANS 1:21
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

There is only ONE LORD...
EPHESIANS 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

So you see, there is only ONE GOD...in 3 manifestations...or ministries.
He does not change who He is...but we change, so He had to minister to us in different ways.
But it is still ONE God...ONE PERSON...FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST.
Not 3 INDIVIDUAL persons...for that is the same as 3 gods...which is paganism.
But this takes revelation to understand.

And if you're puzzled about the RIGHT HAND OF GOD...don't be. RIGHT HAND, in the Bible, means POWER AND AUTHORITY.
You can find over one hundred referrences to RIGHT HAND in the Bible. Look them up and you will see that it means POWER AND AUTHORITY...
EXODUS 15:6
Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
MATTHEW 26:64
Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
LUKE 22:69
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
MATTHEW 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

If there were two other persons then they have no power.
Now how does that make any sense?

An egg has three parts, the white, the yolk, and the shell; yet all three parts are required to make the egg.
Our government has three branches, the judicial, the legislative, and the executive; yet all three are required to make one government.
The Apostle Paul said the same thing about the Godhead, or Trinity. God is the Father, the Holy Ghost is God, the Son is also God. He has to be or the equation doesn't work. Look in the book of Isaiah, in the Old Testament, chapter 9 verse 6: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders. And he shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace."
Yes, 1+1+1=1.

Nowhere in the Bible is it mentioned or taught that there are three Gods. The Bible must be read and examined before such an accusation is made. To illustrate this point, let us consider the following quotations.
Deuteronomy 6 v 4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the LORD IS ONE!"
Deuteronomy 6 verse 35 "To you it was shown, that you might know that THE LORD HIMSELF IS GOD; THERE IS NONE OTHER BESIDES HIM."

1 Timothy 2 v 5 "For there is ONE GOD and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Christians believe there is only one God and that there is a pluralily of persons within the unity of the Godhead. Obviously one thing is important to notice, if God chose to reveal Himself as a Tri-Unity, then who is to deny it? After all God is God (The Infinite) and man is only finite.

The Triunity of God can be likened to a plant. Stem, leaf and root consititute but one plant; each has a distinction incommunicable to the other two; none is the plant without the other two; each with the other two is the plant.

Thus, Dr Jospeh Cook of Boston has expressed it; Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are ONE GOD; each has a property incommunicable to the other two; none is God without the other two; each with the other two is God.

Hope this helps!

What you are asking about is known as Trinitarian Theology. I could probably write pages on this, but since I don't want to take up too much space, let me just start with this: God does not exist within the categorical, meaning God is not confined by the boundaries of the 3 dimensions and time. Therefore, the "logic" that we use to describe and explain the world isn't going to work because we are trying to talk about a state of being outside of what we can possibly experience.

Also, the word "persons" is misleading here, at least as it is used in modern American English. We aren't talking about multiple personalities or three separate human beings. Instead, we are talking about three "beings" that are all "one being." Each has a separate identity, but they belong together and are one. Again, we aren't talking in categorical terms, so this isn't the case of a three-headed hydra or conjoined triplets, either.

Yes, I believe in the Trinity. I have no problem believing (cuz faith can't be faith if there are facts) in something that my human mind cannot quite grasp.

It's not really illogical to believe that. It's a concept much like light. Light is both a wave and a particle, yet is not a wave nor a particle. You can't fully describe light as a wave, nor can you fully decribe light as a particle. So, 1 particle + a wave = 1 light? It does, and science will back that idea up as logic, and something that just is an exception. The same holds true for the trinity. It is made up of three distinctly different "people", yet is all the same 1. Irony is, God is described as the light, years before scientists studied light. Makes you think, huh?

it's like what the Hindus believe. Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer--three manifestations of god.
Or you can think loads of gods to be manifestations of a single god.
I don't mind if the Christians add some more in the Trinity.
God the Grandpa+God The Papa+God The Son+ God The Holy Birdie+God The UNCLE.....=Holy Poly. GREAT MYSTERY.

Name ONE APOSTLE OR TIME JESUS said HE equalled God! Just ONE TIME they mentioned God as a Triune. YOU CAN'T.

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are 3 different individuals. They are NOT the same person, they are not aspects of the same person they are not near the same person.

Jesus himself said not to offer worship or sacrifice to him, but to HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN. Also, why would he be praying to HIMSELF in the garden before his death? He wouldn't NEED God's support if he were God. Also, when Jesus was Baptized in the river Jordan by his cousin, John the Baptist, why did God say "this is my son, MY BELOVED, whom I have approved" and then God POURED OUT the Holy Spirit in the form of a Dove upon Jesus.

The Trinity is based in Pagan worship and was incorporated around the middle of the 2nd-3rd century by the Emporer Constatine and the Holy Roman Catholic Church to get more Pagans to "come into the flock" so to speak. It worked. This is also why we use Sex Fertility Symbols such as the Egg and Rabbit (denoting birth and the ability to birth multiple and quickly) for Christs resurrection. What do those 2 items have to do with Jesus being resurrected? Nothing, but it brought in converts.

Read "The Two Babylons" by the Reverend Alexander Hislop, it explains ALL of this completely!!!

Sorry Preacher, give the SCRIPTURE where Paul said that!! Please!

Using the brains God created and put into my head to work in such a manner that no man on Earth can duplicate? Okay....

I will.

God is the Alpha and the Omega...the beginning and the End. He is one with the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Can you tell me how a man and a wife can be "One?" When someone is married the two become one in each other. They don't merge their physical bodies, sew them together, mind meld---blend like a shape shifter----no. They are of one mind, one heart, and one spirit......TRIUNE.

How can you be one with nature? Well, that means you work, live, and blend with how nature lives, the way the earth grows, matures, propogates, transforms, merges and emerges.

God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are One----God is to be worshipped in Spirit and in Truth. He is the Great "I AM." He is The Word of Life. When Jesus was born, the "Word became flesh and walked among us." When Jesus met the disciples for the Last Supper in the Upper Room, he promised them he would leave them a comforter---that he would not leave them alone to do the work Jesus commanded them to do.

Jesus rose from the dead, walked again amongst the disciples, and met with them again before He ascended into heaven. Thomas, the Doubting Thomas, had to see Jesus's wounded hands and side before he would believe. Jesus said, "Bless those who have believed but have not seen." Jesus then left the Holy Spirit, and the disciples immediately received the Holy Spirit of Christ in themselves.

There you are...The three are One.......no magic......no myth......just truth.

Do any of you know the meaning of contradiction?!!!!

It all contradicts itslef, Christianity has 3 forms of God, but still a monothestic religion, and yet they belive God is the most Supreme (which he is), but then say that He had to die for us?!?!?!?! God would not get killed, if he was God and was able to control every situation if he wanted, because he was Supreme!

As you see the above Christians have only qouted from their Bibles! And nothing that can be linked to anything other than their own books and own teachings. In fact the bible is not even the true words of God. There is proof that when Jesus was alive and preaching no one bothered to write down any of his revealations from God, when he suddenly left they scrambled and made all this crap from their memories of him and made what they wanted lawful like wine and pork.

God has made all things logical to prove His exitance, and this so called trinity is totaly the opposite of any logic. those who deny logic, Deny God.

It is kind of hard for our limited brain to understand. God gave us faith for a reason, and it is faith that pleases him, and gets things done, not mental assent. It's sort of like the various states of matter, water is a liquid, make it really cold and we call it ice (but it's still water), make it really hot and it turns into a vapor or gaseous state we call steam, but it's still water. How is this so hard to comprehend? God is the Father, the creator, he became man and sent his word to heal us by taking on the form of Jesus the savior. The Holy Spirit or comforter is basically God's entity or energy source. Like I said, it's difficult for our minds to reason out. Why not just accept it and Jesus as your personal savior through faith, and then ask God when you get to heaven? If you don't like his answer or heaven, you can leave. However, the gates of Hell are enter only, you can never leave.

I am Muslim, and although I respect Christians and their beliefs, the truth is that the story of the Trinity is false. Please at least give this some thought.
If you read the old Testamant, the very first commandment given to Moses was "Thou shall worship no gods before me". ..In addition, in the New Testament, Jesus said very clearly, "I can, on my own--do nothing". Jesus made it very clear that his power came from God. That proves that Jesus and God are 2 separate beings. Jesus also prayed--who was he praying to?...Jesus was definitely sent to earth by God, and he definitely performed miracles--through God's will. But Jesus was not God, he was not even God's "son". (if he was God's "son", that would mean there are 2 Gods)..The truth is that Jesus was a Prophet, in a long line of Prophets sent by God including Moses, Abraham, King David, and many others. In the Bible, the name "Ahmad" is literally written and mentioned, as a person who would come to comfort people--but I can not recall which book it is in. That name, Ahmad--refers to Muhammad, who was the last Prophet in a long line of Prohpets. Just like Jesus, Muhammad was not God, not the son of God, --he was simply--a Messenger.
Peace
