Be sure to use a shampoo that is pH balanced, they work a lot better on oily hair. Also, change your shampoo several times per week to prevent buildup. I have about 4 different brands in my shower. My hair is very fine and oily, so I have to shop around to find what works best for my hair. Suave, Thermasilk, and White Rain are some that I like. St Ives and Willow Lake were excellent, but I can't fine them anymore.

Piece of cake.
1. Shampoo and conditioner - I have extremely oily hair, and I have asked MANY stylists, the BEST shampoo and conditioner out there is Biolage Normalizing Shampoo, and Detangling Solution for conditioner. This leaves your hair amazingly soft and supple, but doesn't over-moisturize, helping with the oil.

2. It always feels great after you wash it, but come mid afternoon your roots start to get greasy, right? Powder is the best. If you have light or blonde hair, regular cheap baby powder works wonders, sprinkle some onto your brush and brush through hair. If you have darker hair, Bumble & Bumble makes hair powder for all shades. Its more expensive, ($19) but if you have dark hair the baby powder might be slightly visible. Powder absorbs moisture - try it, you'll be amazed.

3. The best help you can get is highlights or coloring your hair. The slight damage that is done to your hair removes excess oils from your scalp, and it makes a huge difference.

Good luck!

There is many shampoos for oily hair and I don't know if you tried this before but try Head and Shoulders Shampoo. My hair was oily too and after putting on Head and Shoulders Shampoo it seem to become normal hair.

Well there can be different reasons. Don't pound on conditioner when you take a shower. It only makes things worse. Try to keep it around using around a teaspoon. Also, make sure that you REALLY rinse your hair very well and thuroughly. This can definitly impact on how your hair turns out.

As well, i dont know your eating style...but definitly avoid fatty foods. It can impact whether or not your hair is oily.

Are you stressed? Being stressed can as well continue to cause your hair to be oily.

If you are really consernd and would like to get things solved quickly...you can go to a salon.

first, start with not washing your hair every single day. begin with washing it once evry 2 days, and then slowly, onlce evry 4 days. it will take a while, but you will definitely see the results. oh, and don;t look for shampoos for oily hair, it will only make it worse. try using shampoo for normal hair.

Okay, I have the same problem sometimes. Heres some solutions....
Head and shoulders or dove shampoo,
if that doesn't work than put some baking soda in your shampoo, it should do the trick.

Peace
