my husband wants to know if you can do fried chicken on the grill. i know silly question but he still wants me to ask

believe me i did not want to ask such a silly question. fried is fried and grilled is grilled. he just has a stubburn streak and thinks that you can do it.

I've never heard of it but...

There are several recipes for doing fried chicken in the oven. I would set my grill up for indirect cooking and use one of the oven recipes. Indirect cooking on a grill is very similar to an oven. If you need more help let me know and I'll try to help you.

Perhaps I don't understand but grilling and frying aren't exactly compatible. You fry in a substance like oil but you grill with dry heat, typically on a grill rack or ridged pan..
Perhaps you could bread the chicken and bake it on the grill using indirect heat. For the life of me, I can't imagine what you would gain over the oven, however. If you try it, please let me know how it comes out.
