Are they corn, or nuts or what? Jerry was onto something there. I'm not as interested in the technical response, as much as why name a product CornNuts if it's not really a combination?

I have no idea of how they are made or cooked but corn kernels are somehow fried I imagine making them hard like a nut and thus was coined the name CornNuts. Use to love them when I was able to chew them.

They are corn that is hard like a nut. The nacho cheese ones are the best.

If you have noticed they are shapped liked a larger piece of corn. So maybe deep frying them makes them larger and also harder. So they are called a corn nuts.

Who cares how they are made, all I know is I LOVE the BBQ ones!
