the drops fell as we sat on the couch, I saw no place they could have possible come from, a penny also fell on my husbands backas we lay on the bed. we were just mistified.

if there is an upstairs, it could be the neighbors who have leaks in their place,
as for the penny, it was probably thrown in the the room from the doorway, someone in the hallway. what is a backas?

Someone is playing a trick on you. Or is there air ducts in the ceiling, water will condense and drip from them. As for the penny are you sure it wasn't in the bed all ready.

moisture collects then falls as droplets, could be a real small leak in the roof or plumbing problem, as far as the penny it was probably stuck to him then he felt it, and thought it fell on him, no it was not possessed there is no such thing, only in the minds of deranged individuals and wanna be ghost hunters!

It could be a paranormal. I heard spirits leave coins on the floor in places you would never expect to find. Penny's, Dimes, or Quarters.
