Rudeness has nothing to do with gender! My grandmother would say, "he never had any raising", "Born in a barn." My husband is a salesman and a gentlemen. He never would have gotten to first base with me if he hadn't been. He is a profession the sales person who waited on you is not. My husband's advice, "Try finding another salesperson next time, and, or, complain to the management". Good Luck

I can assure you that neither Best Buy, nor Circuit City would want you to leave their stores without feeling well treated and fully informed.
No responsible retailer wants you to have a bad experience. But even these days, floor sales people can fail to do the right thing for a customer.
You can start by talking to a customer service representative in those stores. However, if you wish to make a written complaint, you should have the facts of the incedent, the time of day, perhaps the name of the employee and the store's location (either store number found on the reciept, or the address).
The email webpage for contacting Circuit City is:

And Best Buy is:

Oh yes, I think most women have experienced this one time or another. Mine was when I took our car for new tyres and exhaust to Kwik Fit. Oh they were all very nice, nice as pie in fact, they treated me like some sort of imbecile who knew nothing at all. I didn't let them interrogate me though and kept my cool. The good thing was that when I went to pay for the work, the guy added it up wrong (on his calculator!!) and my mental arithmetic, poor though it may be, came up trumps that day. I politely questioned his total and he laughed. Only when he re-added it did his smile fade under the red cheeks! Ha ha ha!

It happens but you don't have to allow it. You don't like the service? Complain to the manager and as high up as you need to go. You would be surprised how nice they can be after that.

It's in their nature. Selling is really easy. They get something from it, they think they're really clever. Usually they're not. Usually they're pricks, because their life is geared around responding to basic stimuli.
