you mean how many characters? the same as english languaje characters are used plus some more like à and Ã, notice the ¨ above the U
examples
niño (boy) and pingüino (penguin)
almost forgot leters (a,e,i,o,u) that can be accented (á, é, Ã, ó, ú)

27, ABCDEFGHIJKLMNN(with squiggly ~ on top)OPQRSTUVWXYZ...I have no idea how I passed Spanish last semester. :)... I checked somewhere else and that said 29...the same above plus ch, and ll ....and some count rr which means there are 30.
