Friends of mine (a couple in their mid 40s) are interested in staying at the recently remodeled Hotel deLuxe in Portland, OR (formerly Mallory Hotel). I haven't stayed there and wondered if anyone has seen the new retro-Hollywood style decor (complete with iPod-compatible alarm clocks in the rooms, according to their Web site). Looks interesting, but I'm looking for input from guests.

I haven't stayed their yet personally since they remodeled, but I have had breakfast there and enjoyed it. The Mallory was a Portland landmark and they sure did a nice, classy job of updating it. All the reviews I have read have been terrific, and the location can't be beat. It's on the light rail, close to downtown and the Pearl District.
I hope your friends enjoy their stay wherever they end up going.

Well from Delivering there all the time ...I seen it both the OLD and the NEW....And Yes they will have a Very pleasant stay there and The food there is Very well prepared...So tell them to go 4 it and HAVE a wonderful trip
