Like on TV for example. The scenario: A man attacks you at your car. You say "He was 5'10", brown eyes, blond hair, 180lbs"

How do you know!?!?!? This came up on the imdb forum for a second but no one really answered. I couldn't imagine guessing someone weight for a description I just have no clue. For a while did everyone walk around with their weight written on them so you'd get a general idea???

I've got to assume that you aren't American. Most other countries use a different measure than we do, kilos. A person who weighs about 100 lbs. in our measure would weigh just over 45 kilos. With fractions, it is exactly 45 kilos equal to 99.2 lbs. Since we are a weight conscious society, most of us have a good idea of what a 180 lb. man looks like when he's relatively tall and muscled. But it's hard to fit kilos into such a framework as easily. Our weights are based on units of 10. Kilos are, I think, based on units that don't convert easily to our weights. Thus the difficulty, and confusion, about estimating weight like we do. Hope I didn't get you as confused as I think I just got myself.

I'm very in touch with body mass index, so I know what a healthy body looks like, how much they'd weigh by height, how much muscle they have(or don't have) and how much muscle weighs. Plus, I watch a lot of mixed martial arts fighting(in only trunks and gloves), so I see a lot of, 'the bull-dog, Andre Orlovski, coming in at 6'4, 225 lbs' etc.
