I bleached my hair blonde about 1 year ago, 6 months ago i dyed it back to brown but the majority of my hair is pretty light as it gets closer to the bottom. Anyway i went in a pool about a week ago full of chlorine and now my hair looks green. What should i do?

I found that if you put leave in conditioner in your hair BEFORE you swim, your hair doesn't soak up the chlorine as much therefore not permitting it to turn green. Since your hair is already green, just wash it and don't go swimming for a few days. It will disappear.

First of all, stay away from the pool. If you wear colored hair, the pool, the sun, and the ocean are the enemies of your colored hair. Bleaching is hardly ever healthy for your hair. No stylist in his right mind would recommend or offer to change your hair color so dramatically. I advise you to change stylists and go to someone who will tell you the truth and not simply take your money. After all, any reputable colorist would like to keep you as a client for a long time and that can only be done be being honest about the health of your hair, even at the risk of losing your business. I recommend that you do not bleach your hair completely, only a few streaks at a time. I also recommend that you use a deep conditioner about once a week and rinse it with cool water, not hot or too warm since that would strip your natural oils. Color your hair in a smart manner and be realistic. Do not jeopardize the health of your hair for the sake of look or you will end up with damaged hair and have a "fake" look.

You need to strip the color completely from your hair. Then, you need to STAIN it back to brown. If you use regular hair color you will end up with the same thing.

go to the salon. it's probably best to let a professional look at it. at this point you don't want to do more damage to your already fragile hair.
