Consult with your child's pediatrician as sonn as possible. He/she will help...there's no need for your child to have to go through that (or you either, for that matter)!

Some kids have a problem with this, I dont know if there is much you can do to stop the problem, usually kids just outgrow it by the time they are 11 or 12. Get some kind of plastic mat to put under his bedsheets so the matress doesnt get ruined, and there are also some excercises to strengthen the bladder. A Dr. can go over soem of these with you and your child. This is for sure somthing worth having a Dr.s appointment over so you can learn more about this and the different options you guys have. It could also be from urinary infections and other problems.

Most bed-wetters outgow it by the time they are in middle school, when their bodies are more developed. In the meantime, here are some ways to control it:

1 - No fluids 2 hours before bed. This will give his system plenty of time to empty out.
2 - No fluids during the night - like getting up for a drink of water.
3 - Set the alarm clock to go off at certain intervals during the night, such as every three hours. Have him get up and go to the bathroom, even if nothing comes out. This will train his body to wake up on it's own over time so that if he needs to go, he can get up and do so.

Some people say it's because "they're too lazy to get out of bed", or too "afraid of the dark" to get out of bed.
He may just be a deep-sleeper>>> too hard to wake up & go to the bathroom.
Or, he may need medical attention.
I was a bed-wetter till I was 13... didn't know back then that I had a small-capacity, hyper-dynamic bladder... & that I inherited it from mother.
I went thru some tests & found out that I couldn't even hold 12 ounces of fluid at a time.
I was tired of going to the potty & 5 minutes later... had to go again.
Depending on how much I drank, I sometimes went as much as 4 or 5 times.
I was put on medication that relaxed & also slowed down the urinary process.
You could have him wear those children's depends, but it might embarrass him too much, even if you & he are the only ones who know it.

My son is only 7, but he wet the bed until about 6 months ago. We limited the amount of liquids he drank and cut him off about 2 hours before bedtime and no ice cream either during that time. I didn't think of it until much later (my husband suggested the no ice cream), but ice cream is a liquid once it is in your body. That was a major problem with my son. Other than that, they really will grow out of it! I went as far as putting a tarp under my son's sheets so that he wasn't ruining the matress. Good Luck!

not only cutting off his liquids 3 hours before bed but waking him up in the middle of the night a couple of times to go won't hurt. Sometimes children sleep too soundly to wake themselves up in the middle of the night to go. Talk to his doctor but that is what worked for my little sister when she was about that age.

Stop allowing him to have ANYTHING to drink after lets say 6:00p.m. if his bed time is 9:00p.m. If he has nothing in his system he will not wet the bed

It sounds like his bladder hasn't grown as fast has he has. This is very common and consult a doctor . He will give you some really good suggestions. One would be to give him some overnight pull-ups I know it sounds weird; but it will help him emotionally. I am sure it doesn't make him feel good. Please whatever you do; do not tell anyone but his doctor. If you do it will only make matters worst. In time it will only be a memory.

try setting up a time schedule for bathroom time, also try cutting back on liquids after a certain hour, along with making sure he uses the bathroom before going to bed
