put baby powder on it and then wash with regular shampoo. The baby powder will absorb the oils and grease.

Original Dawn. Not the Dawn with Bleach Alternative!!! Dawn is great for dissolving grease on dishes and Vaseline. My sister tried Vaseline in her hair when she was younger. Allow the suds to sit for a few minutes. You may have to wash your hair with a Dawn a few times before all the petroleum jelly is washed out. Follow up with a hot oil treatment to replenish your hair of the dryness. Next time you want to deeply moisturize your hair use VO5's Hot Oil Treatment.

I agree with the dishwashing soap suggestion, or any soap without conditioners, etc. You will definitely have to wash and rewash your hair to get it all out depending on the quantity.

My brother has extremely curly hair and one year when we were in grade school he wanted to be dracula for Halloween. My mother had the bright idea of slicking his hair back with vasoline. OMG! It took maybe 5 washes over the course of a week to get it all out. My mother said "Never again!"

USE DAWN FOR DISHES WITH WARM WATER. MY HAIRDRESSER USES IT FOR A LITTLE GIRL THAT HAD A JAR OF VASELINE IN HER HAIR. WASH AND RINSE UNTIL YOUR HAIR IS GREASE FREE AND THROUGHLY CONDITION HAIR.
