i really like this guy. But i live with my brother...he's my legal guardian. I don't want there to be any tension between them. Is there something i could to make it good for everyone?

wow. You got stuck in a tough spot. I don't think there's any real way to get out of it. It's like your father hating your boyfriend, only your brother has more leverage because he's your guardian. Try just talking to him about it. Ask him why he doesn't like him and why he chooses to disregard YOUR feelings for this guy. Don't get mad, or upset, just hear him out and then tell him how you feel. If he still refuses to like the guy, then tell the guy he can leave if he wants, because you, being the wonderful angel you are, won't put him through that. Best of luck.

This is a delicate situation. I would, in a nice way (non defensive), ask my brother why he doesn't like me dating his friend. Let your brother know you care about him and value his feelings and since he is so against it why?
Perhaps, being your brother is your guardian, he sees you growing up and pulling away (much like a parent would), or perhaps he knows something about the friend that is bothersome and feels he is not good enough for you. Perhaps he knows this person is using you. I don't know.
My suggestion is to ask why.

I think that your brother should understand that even dough he is your legal gardian he cant change the way you feel towards someone I mean if you really like the guy I think you should continue your relationship and talk to your brother about what I said.

He feels he has a responsibility for you. He does not want you to make a mess out of your life. Maybe he is overprotective? Maybe he knows this guy as a flirt and not very nice to girls? Maybe he just doesnt like the idea of you and his friend making our or worse; having sex.
If you dont have especially super feelings for this guy, I think you should respect your brother and find another guy to date.

come on people you know that dating your bro's best friend is off limits, who knows this guy better than him, that is why you cant be with him. yes your brother loves you and does not want to see you get hurt, thats why we dont like your boy friends. its the job of your brother and his best friend to protect you from jerks, besides his best friend should treat you like his own sister, not date you

yeah i have the same situation. This guy that isn't really good friends with me...but we graduated together and i see him alot is dating my sister...its kinda weird...and i dont really like this guy. Despite the fact that i kinda want to fight this guy...I'm happy for my sister...and happy that she found someone that treats her good. If your the same as my sister...then i would be happy that you find someone and try to explain this to your brother. I'm sure he will understand!

well u just need to talk to ur brother about this boy and tell him that he needs to understand that its better to know him because he allredy is cool with him ,well tell him that he should only yell at u if it was a stranger, so tell him that he needs to think about how u feel for a chance and if he thinks u r maken a bad decieson then tell him u need to learn from it!! and if u never learn from it then it could mess with ur love life so tell him this cause its vary helpful also if u got any more thangs to ask just ask ok!!!hear from u later shon shon;)

ask your brother to respect you. make time for you and your boyfriend but also schedule time for your boyfriend and your brother to hang out. your brother feels alienated probably. guys dont like to talk shop talk around women or especially there siblings.

No, there isn't. However, look into why your brother hates him...he may be on to something. But if he isn't, remember this:Don't allow anyone, including your brother, to interfere with what makes you happy.
