I'm considering to purchase a 2006 Toyota Rav4. What are the pros and cons. Where could I get it cheap? I live in N. Carolina.

I am the proud owner of a 2002 Rav4. I absolutely love it b/c it zooms in and out of places easily- the maneuvering is great!! However, I have heard that the "improvements" to the new 2006 models have extended it length and widthwise. A friend of mine, also a Rav4 lover, was considering "upgrading" to the '06 from an '04, but said she declined due to it being too big and bulky. She said it was 14" longer than the old models!!

My parents have a Toyota Highlander, which I have driven on multiple occassions, and it's just about that long. I don't like it. I would love to keep my lil Rav til it runs into the ground, but I'm not sure how long I will believe that to be practical.

For your other question, try going to a Carmax. They are great, honest, and really quick. Good luck!!

werent there problems with rav4s a couple of years ago where if you crashed into the pole going 5 mph in reverse, the window would smash? they may have changed the design. if your getting a toyota, get the sequoia.
