Because my siblings and I have a lot of mosquito bites and Off usually doesn't work and the Benodryl just keeps the itch away for a little while.

You can get one of those electric mosquito zappers, put the A/C on real high and hide underneath a blanket, cover the whole house with smoke (mosquitos hate smoke...no kidding), use something called a mosquito mat...which is a small thing that you plug into an electrical appliance fixed to a wall socket or light a mosquito coil...which is something that gives off smoke for about ten hours straight (a smell that mosquitos hate). That's about it...I know some of 'em sound weird, but they're all true :-).

Skin So Soft by Avon, it keeps your skin soft AND the mosquitos hate it. It's especially good for day to day and prolonged use because there are no harmful chemicals. Great for babies, who can't use the hard repellents.

Eating lots of garlic is the best.

Skin So Soft from Avon works better than regular OFF.

Gel from an aloe leaf plant (which some grocery stores have)

or 100% aloe gel w/o alcohol from a health/beauty/skin product you can get at a grocery store too.

For keeping them away, see if you can locate:

Neem Aura Naturals Citronella Sticks. These are highly concentrated incense.

Good luck!

Avon's Skin So Soft. I think they even have something designed for bug repellant.

Try citronella. It's pretty good, and is a natural mosquito repellant.

Also, eat lots of garlic! It helps!

Yes! I hate those poisonous chemicals like "Off"... My friends and family finally convinced me to try "Burt's Bees" Herbal Insect Repellant. It keeps them away and doesn't kill you in the process. Check out www.burtsbees.com if you can't find it locally....

staying inside
wearing long sleeves
squishing them before they bite you.

Actaully I've heard and it seems to work for me,that if you drink a lot of soda, juice, ect, they can "smell the sugar" and will bite even more.

Even diet sodas ect will make them want you. It makes you taste good.

Hyrdocordisone cream works for me.
