definetly.that's why i stopped the clubs and bar thing and friend hook up thing and concentrated on me. then my man came into my life on his own and it has been a blast for the past 4 years.do your thing and the right guy will come along when the time is right.

I am i think it is a crock of s**t these days. It is nothing like it was 20 years ago. I know it must be harder on someone my age than younger people. Ive tried the bar and club thing and the friend thing and now im on the online thing. None seam to work that great i feel like people have been hurt so much that they are scared to let a new person into their life even though thats waht their looking for. So i wish everyone the best in their search but i think you have to thake some chances before you will find your true love..

i am totally over it. i hate dating. its so hard for me to meet guys in the first place because im shy. but i do like the relationship part- having a companion, someone to do things with and express your feelings to. i just hate starting over- the whole getting to know someone part- some people make it sound exciting but for me the anticipation is more like anger and impatience. and i just want to say that i like nclonewolf1962's response- its so true and my heart goes out to him.

Frustration ususally happens when we try to control something we have no control over. If you stop focusing on dating and start becoming the best person you can possibly be, the right person will see that and be attracted to that. Think about your family, your job, school, health, mind, spirituality, what charities you want to get involved with, your church, etc. not needing anyone but being complete on your own.
When you are focused on meeting someone and that's your goal, it sends out a vibe that's needy and clingy.
